ZONTA CELEBRATES 104TH ANNIVERSARY AND UNITED NATIONS DAY

Zonta celebrates 104th anniversary and United Nations day on wednesday 8th, of november at Zonta house jericho ibadan.
Zonta Internationa a NGO that targets making a difference for women and girls accross the globe through internationa project and educational project in colaboration with united nations, zonta international which was founded on november 8th 1919 celebrate their 104th year anniversary with the united nations day to acknowledge the acheivement and goals of the united nations and show support for it works.
In the speech read by the chairperson United Nations committee Zonta club of Ibadan, she states the contributions of the foundation to project organized by united nation agencies from year 2020 to year 2022. Internationa service projects to improve the health and protection of adolesent girls in PERU, combact violence against women and girls PAPUA NEW GUINEA and TIMOR-LESTE, providing education opportunities to children in MADAGASCAR to mention just a few.
Zonta international continued support will help advance the global programme’s realization of it’s vision in which girls everywhere experience healtheir, safer and more empowered life transition while they maintain control of there own destiny by making informed choices and decision about there education, sexuality, marriage and child bearing.
This positive changes hold the potential to transform the lifes of millions of girls and family around trhe world.
